I am under the assumption it would probably be Cinnamon.

Yes, it is the Cinnamon flavor of Linux Mint.  Larry has been setting up the image.  Paulie has suggested a developers edition machine but it is yet to be determined what distro and packages would be included if it comes to fruition.
